According to CoinDesk, ICOs raised $3.2 billion by the end of the fourth quarter of last year, more than double the $1.2 billion raised in the third quarter. ICOs outperformed venture capital funding by a ratio of 16 to 1.
In December, Alexey Ivanov, CEO of Polynom Crypto Capital in Moscow, said he was “skeptical” on Russian Mining Coin and was not a buyer. On Thursday, he said he suspects ICOs to continue churning out millionaires this year.
“It is reasonable to expect 10 to 100-times return on some of these upcoming ICOs,” he says. “They can generate a fortune…if you pick the right projects.”
